RAPIRO is developed by Shota Ishiwatari. It is made with RGB LEDs and can easily bring together. It has about 20 servos with a control board. The more important thing is that its price only US$354.
At first Shota designed it by CAD. Its entire twelve joints powered by some small and cheap servo. Its small servo makes it cheap in price but don’t be frustrated about its performance. The bot is able to move its arms, head simply.
Here is used injection molded parts for making its exoskeleton. But anyone can able to change its body. You can find the CAD file of this robot in their official websites and can see the 3D design.
When they designed RAPIRO they included not only Raspberry Pi but also its camera. This camera is not linked with the robot. The Pi is generally a tiny computer with Linux OS.
